5 out of 5 stars The only one worth getting   July 2, 2006

My mom bought this table and I bought a Fisher Price table. The kids love the Leap Frog Table and hate the Fisher Price one. The Leap Frog one is awesome! It has two options, words or music. So for the little ones to whom words don't mean much, you can use the music reinforcement and my toddler (age 2) likes the word option now. Great for around age 8 months when they start pulling up to stand. Love Love Love this table.

My daughter just got this for her first birthday and she loves it! Everything you touch on this table makes a noise - we especially love the trombone and the banjo. As you flip the pages to the "book" in the middle of the table, the songs and the sounds change. There are lots of movable parts for the kids to play with - the slide on the trombone moves, there is a slide on the violin, the banjo has a lever to pull, there is a barrel to roll, pages of the book to turn, shapes to press, and a compartment to open. It is very colorful and very sturdy, too. I would DEFINTELY reccomend this toy!

My daughter can't even stand yet and she loves this toy. I usually pull her bumbo seat up to it or hold her sitting or standing while she pounds away. This toy is advised for older babies but she has been using it since 4 mos. She is now 6 mos and still can't operate all of the gadgets by herself but she sure does love to try.

We first saw this at our pediatrician's waiting room. My baby was instantly attracted to all of the buttons and moveable objects. So we bought and could not be happier. It provides so much for them to do. He quickly learned how to switch between the two modes, music and words. The little open/close compartment is great for improving finger dexterity, we put balls, blocks, etc inside that he would then fish out. It was the first toy he would head to when he woke up. He would happily push, pull, and turn things, and dance to the music for half an hour before he moved to the next toy. Pretty much the perfect toy.

Outstanding learning toy...I can see how this will be fun for my son for a long time. He is 11 mos. and is using it to improve cruising skills. Even with a short attention span, he is quick to return to the table shortly after he leaves it to play with something else. He is utterly fascinated by it. It is fun for parents and kids, as the music and verbal material is very pleasant to listen to. The added bonus is that it teaches Spanish, which helps his bilingual training. It is has a very nice "ABC" song in Spanish, with a pleasant sounding female voice for the Spanish mode. It will also sing in soprano "blueeee" or "azuuuuul" (spanish for blue), when the kid presses the blue key on the piano. This is all when it is verbal teaching mode. When u put it in musical mode, it just rocks out, playing all kinds of instrumentals. As an amateur musician, I really got a kick out how sophisticated this equipment is. For example, there are a circle, square, and triangular buttons which sound like very intricate conga drum solos when u press them in music mode, and in verbal mode, it will say "yellow...circle" and obviously the same in Spanish mode. Very nice piece of equipment that will surely have your child entertained and learning. I look forward to seeing him evolve with this and become a little Herbie Hancock, as he learns to manipulate the different sounds instead of pressing things randomly, kinda like a little DJ! Buy this one. Well worth it.
